How many bikes can I fit on a standard HANGTIME system? - Free Standing, Wall & Ceiling Mount

All HANGTIME Hook Beams are 1.5 meters long and includes 5 hooks, if all bikes are large DH or Enduro we recommend that you hang alternatively, example -  front wheel – back wheel – front wheel 

How much weight can a HANGTIME Hook / Beam hold?

Each Hook can hold 30kgs, Each HANGTIME Beam (1.5 meters) can hold 150kgs - HANGTIME Freestanding (3.0 meters) can hold 250kgs 

Which HANGTIME system is best for my space?

“Freestanding” systems can be used in all spaces providing you have a standard ceiling height of 2.3 meters or more, it also offers the benefit of “NOT” being attached to a wall or ceiling and being able to repositioned if required.

If you have a solid ceiling system – basement pre cast concrete or floor joists with a height of 2.2 -2.4 meters - a “Ceiling Mounted” system will work well with unlimited beam/hook additions.

If your intended position is on a wall (with solid fixing points) and has a ceiling height of 2.2 meters or more a “Wall Mount” system will work well as can be set to recommended height – 2.2 – 2.4 meters, this also gives unlimited beam/hook additions.

HANGTIME WALL & CEILING MOUNT SYSTEMS MUST BE FITTED TO A SOLID WALL / CEILING  – FASTEN TO STUDS, JOISTS OR SOLID BLOCK / PRECAST CONCRETE  – IT IS THE PURCHASERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THE STRUCTURE IS ADEQUATE –  We recommend a check from a professional if you are unsure.

Is it ok to use a HANGTIME system to hang bikes by their wheels – Carbon or Aluminium ?

Yes, front wheel - back wheel, it doesn’t matter!  Each hook has a sturdy rubber edge protector so it will not damage your rims  and any forces on the wheels are far less than when you are riding your bike.

Can I use a HANGTIME system with  hydraulic brakes and suspension bikes?

Yes - in fact HANGTIME helps you to stay on top of your brake checks.  After removing your bike from the hook pull your brakes on, if it comes in to far or all the way to the grip it indicates that you have air in your hydraulic brakes and needs a bleed or full flush or pads need replacing.

Also your bike hanging in a stationery position has way less forces on it than when you are riding your bike.

What install height is best for HANGTIME?

Between 2.1 – 2.4 meters ( refer to #3 above for more information)

Does the HANGTIME system come with everything I need to build and install?

Yes - all components  - hooks, beams, posts , joiners,  bracing and fastenings for your chosen system will be included.

No - you will need some standard tools – shifter, allen keys. If you are installing a Wall Mount or Ceiling Hung system you will also need a level , battery/power drill and either a 10mm masonry drill or 6mm hex drive bit, and a step ladder is very handy –  install and build instructions will also be provided.

How do I receive my HANGTIME system? Will it take long?

For smaller orders HANGTIME is packaged and dispatched by courier – 1-2 days from payment and despatch.

If your HANGTIME system order is big and heavy it  will be by freight (transport)- generally 2-3 days from payment and despatch.

HANGTIME is a modular system that is easy to handle and assemble.

All HANGTIME components are made from top grade steel with pre metal protection (electro galv or duragalv) then powder coated for extra surface protection, durability and great looking finish.  All fasteners are zinc plated for years of internal durability.
